For the 3rd time in 4 years, I will be riding my bike in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure this June in Reston. I am proud to raise money for ADA not because 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because I personally know some of them (and you might too)! So I am doing something about it!
My plan is to do the 38 miler and I am already training (indoors of course)!
You can give by sending me a check made out to American Diabetes Association. Send check to:

Or you can donate online on my page: http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR/Tourde … r_id=10160
Thanks!!

Getting real close to $1500! When I hit that, I will push the goal up to $2K. It's not about how much I raise but how much is raised for the Cure.
Many thanks to everyone who has been able to donate. It all adds up!!
Ride is on June 7.....been out only once this season due to cold and snow. But....not to worry. I do have an older bike on a trainer downstairs in the workout room and Ive been able to get in some 10-18 miles rides.

Got a 30 miler in on Friday and plan another one on Monday. Then, it's rest and short rides until Sunday's ride.
Not too late to donate to this great cause.....

Not too late to make a donation....would love to hit $2k. If you know anyone with this disease, tell me their name and let them know I will ride for them. I write the names of folks on my legs and arms.
Did a 32 miler on Monday so ready to roll Sunday!!

Great ride today for a great cause. Perfect weather except for the wind. Had to do a little more than 36 as I doubled back to find my buddy who was riding a hybrid. He was waaaaay back! No way he can keep up with a road bike, no matter what shape he is in. Oh...he only trained 3 miles before today. Lesson learned!
