The Goose is on the loose!

Apparently, our area fared well regarding loss of power. It seems that Pepco saw Curly's post and prepared for it!

I really do think we were spared...others not.

Travis,
Great video. Interesting and saved me driving around the County. What I liked best was your optimism...noticed the fishing rods next to you in the truck ready to go.

Level predictions updated again...

POR hit 18.19'  (<20' is Minor Flood), it is now receding

LF hit 10.33' (<12' is Minor Flood), it is now receding

The predictions were all on the high side and were missed by a margin of error of 18-22%!!

Maybe there's still hope, if only the Susky behaves a little.

Pete Dahlberg caught a few today out of Solomons. Said the water was clean....

It will take a few days to see what happens. I need to find that link to the satellite view of the region, that will show what is coming down the rivers.

Re: Who is watching Sandy?

The Washington Channel looks pretty good at 1st light. High tide is in 2.5 hours but it looks normal. Haines Point is not under water.

I could not see the condition of the river on the way in to the office as it was dark but it definately was flowing strong.

I now wonder if all the fish have taken refuge in the WC.....

I always have some gear in my truck.  Never know when I'll have an opportunity to use.
