Navy SEAL Leaves Final Request to Help Injured Warriors
Navy SEAL, Chris Campbell was killed along with 29 other Americans when their helicopter was shot down on August 6, 2011. “When you have a child that is lost in combat, you never forget their sacrifice,” said Larry Campbell.
Chris left his family one final mission in his will. After seeing fellow warriors return from combat with severe injuries, Chris wanted his legacy to benefit our nation's injured warriors — men and women who return home suffering from amputations, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and other unseen emotional wounds.
His wish was to have 100,000 people donate to Wounded Warrior Project. To date, over 1,100 people have given to WWP in honor of Chris Campbell's sacrifice for our country.
Chris' parents, Diane and Larry Campbell, find comfort in seeing people all across the country step forward and honor their son’s sacrifice. “It just shows how loving our country is,” says Larry.
