Carp bait

I've seen  carp threads on Pacemaker, thought this might be of interest. This link was posted on another forum.

Re: Carp bait

I use a simular strawberry receipe.

1 can of pop n fresh dough
1 box of strawberry jello

Mix well and form into 1/2 inch balls with bait holder hook inside. Let dry for a day.

I use a 25 each package of #8 mono leader bait holder hooks to make sure I have enough baits.

Rig is simple egg sinker 1/2 once a bead and a small snap to allow you to change the baits.

Cast out allow line to be slack so carp can pick up and swim with it a bit.

If bank fishing I suggest a leash on your rod as they can drag it in the water very quick.
