We booked a trip with Captain Kevin Josenhans awhile back - and when the date began approaching, we were obviously concverned about the weather - but we decided to go and give it a try -
Our crew was George Lenard(who organized the trip, Dave Gedra, and myself - we met Kevin at the ramp at seven and soon departed - it was drizzling - but not bad - and temps were very mild -
At our first stop, George hooked into a nice speck on one of his L'l Jimy bucktails - copper colored - nice start!! The water was a little cloudy - but we continued to cast - and cast - and work the various structures and stumpfields - we picked up stripers - and an opccasional Speck -
The tide turned, and the Captain wanted to go back and try the original spot - Good move! we fould a point that was very productive with Specks and with Stripers -
The hot lure was the L'' Jimy in 3/8 oz - in various "minnow patterns" but Dave Gedra found the most success with a Nickle plated head, with white and lavender pattern - he had the hot hand -
We totaled over 20 specks on the day and probably over 30 stripers - all caught in 2-7 feet of water - largest speck went over four pounds. Quality fish for sure - the stripers went 15 - 21 inches -also caught on bucktail.
If you really want to try a cool trip, you should connect with Kevin - he knows that area well, and is a great guy to fish with -
On the drive home, we encountered the rain storms that the western side of the bay had all day - we even witnessed a double rainbow while driving on the beltway -
I will try to post pics soon .

Rob,
Saw Kevin's post on Tidal Fish.
Didn't realize you had such long arms. Surprised it is possible to hold a fish out that far.
Seriously, that looks like a really great day.
