John Sexton and I put in at Shamansky's at 7:45AM and we rode up and down the river for 2 1/2 hours looking for breaking fish.Where are they?????
The goal today was to target rocks and blues feeding under the birds for some casting action. Saw a few birds but none were working the bait balls because the rocks and blues were not feeding. Why? Low tide was at 8:40 AM and there was a full moon last night! Nice timing!!
So...to Swan Point for white perch and we got about 50 in 1 1/2 hours on light tackle. Kept a few 9"+ fish. Then back to the Wicomico and a crab cake at Quades. We went further in the Wicomico when the wind kicked up a bit. Found a cove and caught 100 more perch, several were eating size. Oh, we also caught 3 stripers (14-15").
Another very nice day on the Potomac, yes it was a little hot but I like it that way. Looking forward to the rock getting meaner and bigger.
