Nope...it is not my report!
John Sexton was harrassing me all day Friday as he was on his way to fish for big reds in Ocracoke, NC (while I was in Kansas City). I had to pass up a similar opportunity the week before!
Here is his report:
It was a beautiful day in Ocracoke. We fished with Captain Norman Miller - 'Rascal' charters. Capt. Norm is originally from Md - moved to Ocracoke in 1973.
The fight began!
Ten Citations caught (smallest was 46", largest was 53") in a 'secret location' right off the beach about 1/2 off Portsmouth Island (5 miles from the North End). We used cut mullet - single circle hook - 4-5 oz. bottom rig weight - 25 pound test.
49.5"
53.0"
51.5"
A great day indeed!

Edit- the number above each picture is "inches". The Captain estimated the 53 incher at @ 60 lbs..
Man....I now wish I would have gone to Ocracoke on the 17th!

I also like the fact that John is i a short sleeve T Shirt. We can catch big stripers like that but it will be cold!
