Short stogie (Aladino) session after dinner.
Had 3 bites and caught 2 of them. One was a pounder.
No phone, no pic.

Smoked a nice Hoya Black Swan
Had a strong breeze.
Was using the 4wt. Nothing touched my first 3 flies so I went to the trusted ant fly
In years past, they would attack the ant the moment it hit the water. Not today. I had to high stick it and dangle the ant. Bite was not hard. Still, only caught 6 and they we small to mediums (barely). One had a really bright orange belly.
Water was stained, maybe algae.
I bet they are on the spawn because no biggies came out to play. And it was too murky (but green) to see any beds.
It was right in the middle of a Minor Time.

It was all about the experts today.
I smoked an Untitled Berserker, "the much-anticipated second installment of the Untitled line, brings forth a bold blend rich with Nicaraguan tobacco. Its box-pressed, reddish-brown Habano wrapper exudes an oily sheen, hinting at the powerful flavors within. The cold draw offers a tingle of spice on the lips, setting the stage for the first puff?s spice-forward explosion that coats the tongue with thick smoke and dark grey ash. As you progress, the cigar mellows slightly but retains its full-bodied profile, delivering notes of nuttiness, a sweet spice, and a touch of fruity complexity."
It was a nice smoke but I'm not sure I could say what they said. But it does help keep the bugs away! ![]()
The Minor time started at 5pm but I had to come in to get dinner ready.
I'm staring to believe these guys (Fishingreminder). They said today was a poor day in my area. Yep...NO bites in 40 minutes.

Tough going. Glad you enjoyed the Nicaraguan tobacco. Funny!
