Shore 6/19/26

I had a hard time staying asleep so I decided to get up and go fishing.  Got there about 5am.  As I turned around after setting my stuff down and started to approach the water a huge bird that looked like a turkey flew right in front of me.  No idea what it really was but it sure woke me up.

I started with the little plopper.  No real action, so I switched to a z-man trick shotz which is kind of like a fluke.  No bites, so I tried the plopper again before I started to see some movement.  Went back to the trick shotz and caught a little smallie.  Of course he messed up the lure, so I got that sorted and kept casting.

There was a little raccoon that worked the shoreline as I was fishing.  He was not afraid of me.

I finally got a good hit and set the hook on a solid fish.  It pulled a little drag and swap upriver, which was better for landing due to deeper water and less rocks.

It took a little while before I got bit again.  This one was toward the top pf the little shoal and I was able to land it the same as the last one. Very similar size, but sturdy fish that almost did not get a picture.

There was definitely less activity than Wednesday.  I did catch 3 fish and a branch.  Off the water at 6:30am.

Always wishin' I was fishin'

It's funny because some people don't think they can fly!  Just because they're so great at running!  This rain will bring in some water I think.  Nice catches.
