Bob and I decided to fish (his boat) today instead of tomorrow because today had a better wind forecast.
It was 47dF when we started but we were dressed well and the winds were manageable. Only a few gusts to mess up some casts.
We decided to start up high (Bob asked where I wanted to go so that was easy) and it was slow going at 1st until Bob got the skunk off the boat with a herring!
And then we started to catch a few...and some fat ones!

And this little shiner!
All told, we caught 23 up top in a little over 2 hours. Not bad considering all of the reports I've been seeing.
There were a couple of kayaks shad fishing along with 2 Jon boats. And a few guys at the shore. We had a low tide the whole time due to the W winds.
We decided to hit below the bridge but it was really slow there. Only picked up 5 more.
Around 12:30p Bob asked if I wanted to back up top. Well, we were smelling food from a nearby pizza shop so we called it and headed back.
Brickmaker's had bratwurst again so we both got it.
Today was a good day. Bob's boat performed flawlessly. The weather forecast shifted to our favor...it was less chilly than what they were saying and the wind was lower than forecasted. And we caught fish!
