Re: Ned

In SLIDER language those are called lift and drop and do-nothing techniques

They all catch fish

Re: Ned

Interesting.....I've never heard of this or tried this NED thing....lol.  Although I have to admit, this would be great for a young person just starting to fish for any sinking lure.  I've been looking into new techniques for trout fishing for fun (drop shot) instead of the tried and true carolina rig with floating powerbait!

Re: Ned

There are always newbies to snag. Try that with the river flowing.  It's all in the drift...or not.

Re: Ned

While walking today, I watched two salt guys fish cold water down in FL using Zman Ned rigs. They caught fish.

Re: Ned

Marketing 101

Increase your customer base

Pretty basic

Ernie - You fishing in FL?

BTFToyota - nothing much different than a stixbait on a ball head.  For me, the drop, or amount of weight, is a key factor to consider

Oh how I wish!

Lemme 'splain better.

I was in my home gym, walking on my treadmill. While doing said activity (nice and warm), I was watching CA Richardson from Flats Class. Probably my most favorite fishing series. He was with Capt. Brett  in FL up at Apalachicola fishing with Neds. It was cool. The next show was down at 10,000 Islands, in the Marco Island area. There, he fished with weighted ZWG hooks.

Reds were the main target up north and snook down south.

Both of these methods they were using in the 2 shows are also what we use in the rivahs. The only difference is that they use 30lb leaders on 15lb braid. I use 8-12 on 15lb braid.
