A10 Warthog Maintenance

Thought some of you folks might want to see a short video up close on this weapon system.

I had the opportunity to review some activities in AZ this past summer and forgot I had some good footage.  I'll post up other short vids if people are interested.  Most don't realize (unlike commercial airplanes) that for every hour flown there is a designated amount of maintenance hour that follow.  This is among the most controversial aircraft not due to it's capabilities, but due to the effort to sunset it.  You would be amazed at the aging fleet we have and plan to have moving forward.  That's for all ground, aviation, ship, facilities.

Re: A10 Warthog Maintenance

Gotta luv an airplane designed and built around a gun.

With all the vibration from those massive turboprop engines and the gun when fired, I'm sure that plane keeps the aircraft mechanics busy.

I was so happy to read that airplane model was not retired.  A very unique weapon to have in our quiver
