Lightfoot Restaurant, Leesburg

Not sure why I've never posted about this restaurant.   hmm So here goes.

I've known Executive Chef Ingrid Gustavson and General Manager Carrie Gustavson Whitmer since they were teenagers. They 1st started in the restaurant business with Lightfoot Cafe, an old townhouse in downtown Leesburg. Obviously, they were wildly successful and then bought a huge, old bank building on King St. where Lightfoot Restaurant sits now. It's a splendid location.

There is no way I can count the amount of times I've eaten at this restaurant. It's our go to for most celebratory occasions and then some.

We were there for lunch today to celebrate Debbie's birthday. I had a mushroom soup that was world class! Plus some other great goodies.

For you locals (and no so local) that have never gone, do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Re: Lightfoot Restaurant, Leesburg

Went again today (4th or 5th time this year) and as always, the food was great. I had a shrimp Po'boy (1/2lb shrimp) that was off the hook! Should have taken pics. Ans the service is amazing as well.

This is a gem in LoCo.

Here is a pic of their huge fire place.

There are also some refurbished bank lock mechanisms on display. Great place.
