10\22 301 bridge report.

My 5 yr old Honda's temp. alarm went off on Monday when I was running it with the garden hose. Took it to Newburg Marine Tuesday morning for a new thermostat and pump impeller. Repairs were done yesterday so I checked tide times and picked it up this afternoon. Launched by 301 bridge, where the Pacemaker cover pic was taken. The tide was dead low and starting in, meaning catching would be slow for a while. Picked up a few stripers here and there with the first being this fat 19" fish.

The spots you see are missing scales, the start of the dreaded myco sores. Most of today's fish were in the same condition except for 2 that were so bad I was afraid to touch them. Once the tide got deeper water along the shore, the fishing picked up. The last 3 of the day were caught after the sun set.
This 28"

Lots of fun to catch and release. I'm wondering how this Myco will affect the gill netters that will soon be putting their nets in this area. Bet they won't be releasing many of these fish.
