Cedar Report - 100709

I went out to Cedar, in the wind, to try and see if there was any Crappie bite to be had. I had 4lb test with a 2in grub on a 1/16 oz jig head under about 2ft of line with a bobber. The bobber provides the extra weight to really cast out a good distance.

The first fish I caught was a 12in bass...um, okay.

I then caught a 4in bass...um, I am crappie fishing here people!

I then moved and got into a series of good bites, but they kept coming off. Finally I landed a bluegill that put up a respectable fight. After a few more bites and some moving around, I (un)successfully caught and landed zero crappie. I do feel like I got some crappie bites, but I just couldn't get them to hold on.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
