Potomac River Report - 100209

I went out for an early day on the Potomac with a coworker. We spent the first half of the day in Mattawoman Creek deep in the no wake zone area, but couldn't muster a fish. We had just one bite.

We then moved to Neabsco Creek and found a little more luck there. We ended up with four fish with the biggest going 2lb 6oz according to my scale. I have a picture, but the camera is not next to me right now!

The weather was perfect, warming up with cloud cover and a day away from a full moon, but the bite was non-existent. Soft plastics ended up being the key as there was no spinnerbait bite.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Some like the full moon, others don't.

I am of the belief that fish feed more at night with a full moon, thus they feed less during the day. But what do I know.roll

Time to go fishin' again!
