i had some luck fishing wood from my johnboat.
i have a laydown that has been giving up good fish on a regular basis
charlie taylors post about crawling a jig over wood got me thinking, so i went to that straight pattern.
i have been using a 1/8 bitsy bug, green & orange, w/ a green trick worm as a trailer.
i progressively bite the worm down until i find the length they seem to want.
i drag this through the wood, feeling every stop, pulling just hard enough to get over.
they bite this in the laydown while ignoring other colors and profiles.
i also did well with a red senko. if the bite is tough, a senko just flat catches fish.

A trick worm trailer, eh? Sounds like a mix between a traditional jig and pig and a shaky head.
