warbird evening tourney at leeslyvania 8/25

this fellow has a nice little tackle shop just outside of leeslvania park.
terry olinger, i believe is his name

for 55 US you enter a 2 man team

fish from 5 to 8:30

winning limit was 17#
biggest fish was a 5.4 by same team
purse was over 500 US

lots of fun

we had 11#
just could not get any kicker fish

all fish were caught on a blue fleck power worm

i am fishing the new horizon tourney tomorrow

Re: warbird evening tourney at leeslyvania 8/25

my first tournament was a great experience

at 5pm 25 boats blast out the dock area

we are doing 70 mph on open water with boats all fanning into the horizon

the weather was lovely

Good luck in the NHBA tourney.....70 mph is dangerous in my book......I have done 50+ in a bass boat and did not like it.....the water is like concrete at that speed.

Anyway, Warbirds has a nice shop but they lack inventory at tourney time.

Time to go fishin' again!

Last I heard they have been lacking inventory for a while because of the recession.
