I went down the street to fish Goose Creek yesterday taking a new approach. I opted to wear my crocs and wade through the shallows. This turned out to be both refreshing and productive. I ended up with a LMB and three smallies in about an hour of fishing...pics to come. My biggest smallie was about 13".
Unfortunately, I also discovered that my blackberry is not waterproof. D'oh! I guess I'll be paying a visit to the Sprint Store today.
Here are the pictures. I also took a couple of nature because my wife accuses me of asking for a camera to be solely used for fish pics. If you ask me, fish pics are justification enough!

Goose Creek Miniature Smallie
Goose Creek Great Blue Heron
Goose Creek Deer (sorry for the size of the picture)

Sounds like a good way to spend a hot August day.

One of these days you will run in to Paul (BassMasterp) and one of his daughters while fishing down there!

what did you use?

Really? I have a hard time casting the Tiny Flukes. Weren't they biting the big ones?

I was only using 6lb line on spinning gear with a 2/0 off shank hook. The hook's weight combined with the lighter gear allows me to cast the fluke far enough.

the split shot rig allows you too cast a little bit farther
