8-22-09, Cedar after the front

In an hour of fishing the perimeter after lunch, I had one missed take and landed a punk.

Very slow, even with a nice cloud cover.

later I will try he fly rod for some BG pullage.

Re: 8-22-09, Cedar after the front

I went out with a couple of 4wts and managed about a dozen BGs and a 12" bass......he hit an ant fly...very cool!

The BG's were further out than normal....probably had 30 hits.

Re: 8-22-09, Cedar after the front

my thing today was pitching paca craws into tight cover

i did ok but every bass was way tight in the cover

i got what looked like a 2.4 to 2.8 at cedar

nice thing was it didnt have any hook marks

i picked up 2 in ashburn, 2 in beech and a handful more in cedar

i would have kept fishing but my bag of paca craws was empty and i had to walk back to the truck at AV blvd

i am going out later to try some more
