Farm pond 7-03

Had nothing planned for the day so my girlfriend and I decided to go to our friends farm pond for a little bit of fishing. I wanted to bring the kayak but got lazy (as you can tell by my hair, I kinda just got up and went fishing).  I really wanted to hook my girlfriend into a nice size fish that day but it wasn't meant to be. She'd freak out with every bite and scream yikes Oh well, what can you do... I hooked into a few fish myself and some very nice bream. It felt great getting out and fishing again. I need to catch up to everyone!

Nice!  What did you catch the bluegill on?  On my fishing trip to upstate NY last week I was catch HUGE pumpkinseeds on a white spinnerbait.  You could almost bet that I'd pull one in every other cast.  Man was that fun.  Never saw such aggressive sunfish before.

I caught one on a rebel crayfish thingie and the other on a mepps #2 black/orange.  The pumpkinseed jumped out of the water and made a few good runs on my UL setup. lots of fun!
