8-28-07 Cedar Fishing

Fished Cedar for a little over a hour around 4:30 this afternoon . . . using wacky worms, caught four quickly around the spillway . . . after that the algae played havoc anywhere else around the lake.  Ended up bringing in eight total (a couple over a lb), but the lift and clean on every cast is tiresome.

Try rigging the worm weedless. You might get a few less bites, but it is a lot more enjoyable.

Re: 8-28-07 Cedar Fishing

Went out after dinner on the kayak and caught a 4" bass on my 6 wt....not proud but happy they are reproducing!

I caught a few blue gills right in front of Curly on the north shore. As I was bringing one of them up, a huge bass (maybe catfish?) was chasing it but he got startled when he saw me and sounded. That was cool. Curly saw it too!

Yes..... the algae is a pain in the behind, especially in the cove behind my house!
