Bike patrol, 5-23-09

As I do most weekends, I like to take a long bike ride on my 18 speed.

Today I headed to Lansdowne and I rode all the hills back in there....kicked my butt!

On the way back, I decided to ride the trails of our lakes (noon time).

I saw one resident take a bass and put it in a bucket....it was close to 14", hard to tell while riding.

There were a few people out on Lake Ashburn and then I saw a family with a surf rod trying their luck. I am still trying to figure out how they got to where they were. They had a camp set up across from the bridge (where I stopped to watch) on the east side of the lake.

By the way, I said nothing to anyone....just stopped (to rest?) watched. roll

There was also a police bike patrol out yesterday. I saw him talking with some fisherman around 3:30 on Beech.
I thought that maybe the squeaky wheel was finnally getting some grease.

Excellent!

Today, Khan got to speak the Chair of the Lakes & Ponds Committee and one of the board members. The President of teh HOA has his mind made up but we just need to keep it up.

Look at the condition of the lakes this year. We have pressed for accountability by the contractors and now we are seeing results (along with Curly's blue bombs).
