bass today at ashburn lake

I had a fine angling experience today.
I caught around 20 fish,  largemouth and 3 crappie.

a few were in the 2# neighborhood.

i found a nice spot.

the weightless green senko was the ticket, 3" , texas, and quite weedless.

I throw it on a 9' ultra light rig and 4# test.

this makes for great fun.

i did break off one fish on the hookset, but i  have come to accept a few of these moments
(shoot, i let'm go anyway, right?)

i can lob a 5" grape senko a country mile w/ that thing.

i am psyched for the next 8 weeks.

can you say "hammer time"?
