Smallie spawn

Typically, smallies spawn in March-May when water temperatures reach between 59 and 64 degrees. So say the experts. Of course, there are a whole lot of other parameters and variables that they have to deal with for a successful spawn.

Today, the temp on the UP at POR was at 48dF. And rising.

Some weather pundits say that winter will be back in a couple of weeks. Who knows?

Will we see an early spawn?

Re: Smallie spawn

Looking to be an early Spring this year (knock on wood). Daffodils were blooming in the yard last weekend. Peepers have been peeping. I'm ready.

yeah, this weather is all over the place.  At least give me a little snow to make it a winter!
