What happened to the crappie in Pavilion?
For years, I've been able to catch crappie off the dock at Pavilion from about October through pretty much all of winter; this year, I think I've caught one. Meanwhile, the dink bass are plentiful.
What gives?

I think Curly took them to Anna! 
Seriously, there has been ZERO management of the AV lakes fishing population since Curly and I got off the committee...which was subsequently disbanded. Last time I checked about any stocking of the lakes, they lied to me.
And I will say that the summer of 2020 (during the dreaded pandemic), there were lots of poachers on the lakes. I made a few calls but no one ever did anything. Our reliable area game warden from the past moved on to other things and ever since...nada. He was always very reactive to our calls.
Time to go fishin' again!
