Yesterday at the BRHS Fishing Club Tourney, George and I kept going back and forth (because the forecasts kept changing) as to whether or not we would go out today. Right before he left, he said: "if you don't want to go, I'm good with it". But after thinking about it, a nice day on the water is always good so we agreed to meet up at my house at 7a.

After a brief stop at Mickey D's, we were on our way. It takes about an hour to get to White's Ferry, the long way.

We launched just before 8:30a...

... and I decided to fish down to the 1st island.

Good call because George took the skunk off the boat pretty early with a FATSO that was 14.5"!

We then motored up river a bit and made a stop and George got #2!

A fat darkie!!

We then ran up to the 1st big ledge and since the the water is so low...and clear, we decided not to risk going any further.

After a bit, I was able to get my skunk off!

But now...it was lunch time. I get exited to see what George brings especially since the WF Grill is closed on Mondays.

It did not disappoint!

Man...they were good! It was hard to get fishin' again!

George got two more to give us a total of six. It was a struggle but catching 6 fish meant no skunk and some action. Each of us had a fish on that got off.

As it has been, we saw a trillion carp and kitties and we were  hoping to see a smallie once in a while. But once we saw one, it was see ya later!

We had a nice day on the water and it was great not to have to post a Pepe Le Pew!

We. Need. Rain.

Time to go fishin' again!

We. Need. Rain.

Yes. We. Do.

Caught me in the act! lol

Although the fish are real spooky because of the low water, it was so cool to be able to see the river bottom so clearly.  Water had no stain, bottom was interesting.  We found bed rock, batteries, a pair of shoes and fish.  Fish hung out in the area's where it was deeper keeping smallies, catfish and carp all schooled in one group.  Some of the cats were huge with heads as big as a pit bull.

I'm normally throwing much different baits this time of the year but anything with weight hits the bottom instantly.

Thank again for everything.  Had a blast being a pax in the Limo driving the back roads to the launch.  Colors are starting to change good and some of the trees were on fire!
