September, 2022

Took a L rod out with some small baits (1/16oz, 2" baits) and targeted the dinks.

I got 5 of them in less than an hour. Biggest was maybe 11". Then got humbled when a young man (middle school) came by and he had caught 10! lol He was throwing a small carnk bait.

Re: September, 2022

Dusted off the 4wt fly rod (had cobwebs on it) for some BG & small bass fun this morning.

Caught 5-6 LMB, none bigger than @11".

The BG's were hitting a very slow presentation. Saw a lot of the takes up close.

Many like this.

And then the big boy came to play!

That's one of the biggest BG's I've caught (not including red ears).

You know they are big when they have the humps on their forehead.  Love to catch those big bluegill!

At least you found some water!

Pretty fish.  Especially when they cover your whole hand

A nice Oliva V plus a bunch of runt LMB and a couple of dozen BG's! All on the 4wt.
