"We finally launched a citizen science project to identify where folks are seeing blotchy bass. We teamed up with Angler's Atlas/MyCatch and anglers can win gift cards for participating. The event is called Blotchy Bass Bonanza and it started on July 1. Anglers are entered in to a weekly drawing even for uploading photos of normal (non-blotchy bass). It's free to enter. Please share this with folks as you can.  We're going to start posting this on angler blogs for a slow roll out, but Bass Pro Shops is going to join this effort with marketing and sponsorship later this summer. We're really counting on Bass Pro Shops to get the word out for us."

I do know that there have been some blotchy bass caught in the Potomac around DC and also in some of the AV lakes....
