6/29 Cedar Lake Report
Fished the lake perimeter in less than 90 minutes - so few places in the algae to make a decent cast. Only brought three to shore - one bass about 1.3 lb - lost a couple in the weeds. I can't recall seeing the shoreline algae so bad. Are they intending to treat it?

I agree about the algae. Believe it or not, most of what you see is dead. The lack of a torrential rain (need movement of water) is keeping everything stagnant. I am going to use the kayak in the morning so I can fish some open water. Even then, there is algae just below the surface.

I agree it wasn't this bad last year.
I fish cedar on Thursday for about 15 minutes. It was just no fun picking algea off after every cast.
I caught one small bass and that wasn't much fun because it was wraped in seaweed.
I would be willing to rake some of it on shore, but It would be a stinky mess and I don't think the home owners there would apreciate it.
