Fall saltwater fishing questions

I may be doing a trip to ocean city around thanksgiving to visit relatives. Is it worth trying to fish that time of year bayside/inlet? Looking at historical data the water temps will be in the mid to upper 50's. Seems like this is early for the striper run. Anything else still swimming around? I will probably bring the kayak. I've never saltwater fished this time of year so any suggestions would be great.

Re: Fall saltwater fishing questions

I go out to DE/OC every year at that time. My tradition is to fish for tautog from shore at Indian River Inlet or the Rt. 50 bridge, and also do a seabass trip on one of the local headboats.  In the past I used to fish for stripers too, but there hasn't been a good Fall run for years.
