12-23-08 ICE!!
Went out to cedar for 1/2 hour and there was ice on the lake except for around the fountain and the bubbles. Did not catch anything. What kind of techniques should I be using when there is ice?

The stay inside and stay warm technique! The ice should be gone in the next couple of days with warmer weather. Bide your time until then and wish that Santa brings you some de-icing weather so you can reel in some fat LMB!
If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

I caught a 3 lb bass once by throwing a maroonish Zoom lizard on the ice and twitching it slowly. When it plopped in the water, the bass inhaled it.
Time to go fishin' again!
