Welcome Aboard!

Mike invited me to do some bass fishing on the "O" today, after his daughters soccer game.
We were on the water at 12:30p and fishing shortly there after.
We worked some docks on the way out of the river and Mike scored a decent one on a drop shot.
Boat traffic was heavy on the "O"...everyone wanted to enjoy the river.
We did see quite a few yakers as well...almost none wearing a life jacket!! Water temps were in the high 50s!
Anyway, Mike decided to hit a few honey holes at the mouth of the river and off we went. And then off we went. No, not a typo. His motor shut down and we were bobbing out in the open sea. That's how it felt with all the boat waves.
We started motoring back with the TM but it was a looooong way back for the 12V system he has, So we decided to call Tow Boat US and they said they could rescue us in an hour or so.
On the way back, Mike caught a small striper as well.
We slowly motored back and the Rescue boat got to us right before sundown. We almost made it back but the TM was on its last legs.
That's the Capt.'s mom who was proud of her son's mission. They actually took a picture of us as well.
Anyway, in short order we were back, safely at the dock.
Tow bill was $0! It pays to have Geico boat insurance!!

That's a different experience. Did you troll any on your way back? Boat problems are a pain.
That's what happens when you go out on the weekend...

We made some casts but not many until we got back to the No Wake zone. It was quite wavy! But no trolling.

All boats will endure a problem at some point. It’s inevitable....
