Benjamin wanted to fish with live bait today. So......I got him up at 4 am for a 25 minute boat ride to where I knew there were some blueback herring. After several throws of the cast net in 30 FOW, we had around 50 frisky 5-7 inch herring. We pulled 6 baits and pretty much had catfish killing our baits all morning. Finally, one down rod bends over double and drag is squealing. Benjamin does a great job keeping the fish out of the trolling motor and I get it in the net. A fat 23 incher

He told me he needed a rest after that one . Only striper we caught this morning and called it quits around 9 am.
