6-15-20, Cedar

Sorry, no pics.

Took the 6wt out and was throwing a brown/copper clouser.

While enjoying my stogie, I caught 8 LMB. They seemed schooled up as most came from the same "hole". And NOT behind my house but...close.

Most were 11-12" with a couple being a bit smaller. All were well fed.

Went back out today, same spot and same fly. One nip and caught an 8”er. Changed flies a couple of times and nada.

But the Oliva V was good!

You again went further than right behind your house? Will this be a new trend? lol

How would you say the Oliva V (I haven't had one yet) stacks up against the offerings from your motherland?

Re: 6-15-20, Cedar

The back of my house has been vacated by fish. I can't even catch a BG back there. It wasn't too long ago that I had 25-40 fish outings.

The Oliva V has a nice draw and is a strong one, which I like. They are very well made. And I can get them for around $5-6 when on sale at Cigar Page.

Cubans have a smoother flavor most of the time because of the soil they grow in on the Pinar del Rio province. But Cubans are expensive, usually $10 or more a stick and sometimes at $20+. Some are not worth the money but they have a great brand recognition.
