10-29-19, UP

Bob and I were on the water by 7:45a...

We fished many places and kept saying what a nice day it was...

Bob ate his lunch around 10:30a...

In all fairness, Bob wanted to fish the Washington Channel but I was too lazy to go.

So this is what we got...

I do not believe we had one bite. Off the water before 1:30p.

That is all!

That is not good!  Sorry to hear, guys.  I was feeling guilty for not going out.  I head to WV tomorrow and will report back Friday.

Maryland talking about closing the spring striper season and then a 20-28" slot.  LP major tournaments bass fishing has had all-time low catches this year.  Last major tourney had 133 anglers without a fish to weigh.

Re: 10-29-19, UP

I fished two of those days and got zip. So I think that last tourny was doomed from the start by high water and cold nights. Even low tide was 3 feet above normal low tide. Heck high tide was 3 feet over the pad fields.

I did find fish and got hits late in the second day way back in the woods with my Mako boat. That is how much water we had.

Oddly my bite from June to end of August was somewhat better this year. Bigger LGmouth and more snakeheads too.

The striper regs change is for the Bay. PRFC will likely follow the same rules for the Potomac. Lots being bantered around and many folks are piping in. Nothing is set in stone. Remember, MD was the one who once said only 6 trolling rods allowed but never put it through.

We caught a few fish today just off the Potomac. Mike's top 5 would have scored OK.

Hard to believe a Royal Farms chicken wrap could be the high point of any day, and then top it off with a skunk. Still beats sitting home not fishing.
