Today, I helped out at this event. Lots of kids and adults trying to catch fish.
One young girl caught a catfish but I was not able to get a pic.
At one point, as I was looking out to the water, a few ducks swam by and a trident missile shot up from the water. A snakehead was trying to eat one of the ducks!
Speaking of snakeheads, I left my mark with the DC biologists. It appears we differ a bit on our opinion of snakeheads. Lots of my opinions are based on John Odenkirk's studies. Their opinions were based on opinion as they did not have any research to cite against my arguments. Aargh!!
Anyway, Dave Hu caught an nice cat!
I usually don't fish at these events but after being skunked the other day, I grabbed a rod and threw a weightless Zoom (white) Swimmin' Super Fluke and got this nice 2+#er!
Jahlil had not yet caught a fish thus his face!
All of the kids came over and touched it and some even touched the jaw teeth.
It was a pretty nice day for it, glad it went well. Time to add this to your lure collection?
We talked about this lure....
Jahlil had the legs of his Rage toad completely bitten off.
