Northern Neck variety 6/29/19

I was finally able to get my bay boat out on the water on Saturday. I launched at about 6am.

Started on a grass flat to try to get on some topwater action. I c&r'd a couple smallish specks but after about 45 minutes I got the cobia itch and ran off to do some chumming.

The cobia fishing was slow, by which I mean I caught none and had no runs. There were a ton of boats out there and I didn't see or hear of a single fish caught. Smaller fish in the chum line kept me busy though, there were lots of spot and kingfish down by the chum bag. Most of them were bait sized but I did get one nice king that I ate for dinner.

I gave that a good 7 hours before I pulled all my lines and set up for trolling. That was kinda slow too but I didn't put as much effort into it as I should have. Got a blue and a spanish.

I think I was off the water around 4. Had fun, hopefully I can get back out there before too long.
