Curly and I were on the water fairly early.
Morning target were snakeheads.
When we got into the creek, it was pretty dirty. We worked it hard but got ZERO bites. We did see some frolicking but we deduced that they were carp. Then, we worked some cleaner water on the pad edges but nothing.
That was Plan A.
Plan B was to hit another creek and on the way in we saw some bass. Promising. I wanted to go way back but the tide had just about run itself out so we started fishing...not before we saw a school of LMB, 7-8 of them!
It did not take long and Curly hooked up. Skunk off.
I think he got another one and then I hooked up with a nice one!
And another...
Curly kept catching some more.
We had several fish that hit us but we failed to hook up.
The tide was almost dead low and the catching was fine. All the fish were on the grass edges (into deeper water).
I think I boated 3 and Curly had 10. All of his on a white wacky. My 3 came on a white wacky, a fluke and a senko.
We were out of the creek by 10:45a and off the water shortly there after.
We had a nice lunch at Brickmaker's but forgot to take pics because we were so hungry.
Today, Curly is 60 and it was his last official day at work!
