Cedar Bluegill

I got my first fly fishing rod and I went over to Ernie's to make sure it wasn't a POS or broken in some way, and it checked out! I also thought it was throwing weird, but that was because I had the reel backwards? I swear I have a decent IQ.

Anyways, caught a few bluegill and had an absolute blast doing it; I really don't have much interest in picking up my spinning/casting rods for awhile!

This is the rod I bought if anyone is interested. Pretty cool, it comes with a rod, reel (pre-spooled), bag, and a couple of flies.

Time for Waldorf hair bugs and a big shouldered LGMouth..

Nice to see new fly fisherman joining the ranks. Good work.

Re: Cedar Bluegill

For those Waldorf hair bugs, he's gonna need more than the 5/6 he has now.......
