I didn't realize this was in the works.  I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Sleeter Lake

That's a nice size lake....wonder if they will stock it or if there is a good population already.

This is my honey hole.  my favorite lake.  on that note to all random folks reading this: "There are no fish here, terrible waste of time, you'd be better off going somewhere else."

Newest update is it will open July 1.  That's what the sign at the gate says.

Re: Sleeter Lake

allow for them to be powered by an electric motor with a maximum of 3.5 horsepower

I think they need to re-think this policy

Apparently, they have been rethinking policy for many years, thus the delays in opening.

Re: Sleeter Lake

I was being sarcastic - was always taught that electric motors are rated in pounds of thrust, not horse power

Re: Sleeter Lake

I didn't catch it....

There are certain TMs (like Torqueedo) that are rated in HP. Most TM used on pontoon boats are that way.

Re: Sleeter Lake

I looked that up before I posted.

Torpedo's propulsion power is rated in Watts - but since no one know's what the heck that is, their marketing literature converts watts to "horse power equivalent"

Yeah, I know, picky picky picky

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've posted on here...

Anyways, I have been following this as well. I am looking forward to getting out there on my kayak.

A lot of fishing reports!

The biggest thing is the Ashburn Village Veterans Fishing event we have every year at the Pavilion. Very cool event.

Re: Sleeter Lake

Boost the popularity when there is already a limit on the number of watercraft permitted on the lake at one time? OK..

Re: Sleeter Lake

Doesn't make much sense except they want folks to enjoy the surroundings.
