Racetrack Bass

This past weekend I went to Virginia International Raceway for the MotoAmerica national race series.  I volunteered to work on the safety crew.  Turns out I was probably the most experienced at working on a safety crew of everyone that volunteered.

Thursday and Saturday evenings I had some time to do some fishing in the pond next to the paddock.  As in my past experience, a swim bait and the proper location in the pond produced.

First was this one of the usual size.

Then biggest of the four on Thursday, possibly the biggest up until that time.

Saturday they just weren't going for the small swim bait with the spinner.  But once I put the the big swimbait I briefly hooked up with a big one.

Eventually I got this one which was likely bigger than the one that got off. Based on my rod about 20", and probably in the 4lb range.

There was one more brief hookup and then this last smaller one.   I

Yeah.  Fishing, no problem.  But don't you dare go over the fence.
