4-28-18, Cedar

Mo Musau emailed me and told me he had taken the Orvis 101 fly casting clans in the morning so I told him to come over in the afternoon for some hands on practice.

I was able to get this guy right before Mo showed up.

I was actually trying for bass....

Mo came over and we made a few practice cats and in no time, he gets his 1st ever fish (crappie) on a fly!

Then his 1st bass!

He actually hooked two blue gills that got off on the shore as he was trying to lift them out (another lesson for the future) but they didn't count.

Almost had a Cedar Slam!

Nice! Some real hands on experience. I'll have to remember to go to Ernie's whenever I have time to take that class.

Together we'll fight the long defeat.
