3-17 LKA stripers in the sleet

Got out there this morning to 26 degree temps.  Found them where I left them yesterday.  Already 3 pontoon live bait fisherman in the area, but they were not catching.  In the beginning.......scattered stripers but not eating.

Then schooling stripers and not eating anything I thew at them and the live bait fellas were having no luck either.

So I decided to wait them out and troll over them (would not touch a jig in their face) and the sleet started coming down hard.....not fun.  Finally I hook one and get it to the boat to measure a 20.5" keeper.

That was enough getting pelted by the sleet.  Headed back to the dock and put the boat back up on the lift until the next time I come down.

Not bad for my first 3 days in the new boat and LKA......at least on keeper striper each day big_smile .

Man you're killing it. So does this mean we wont be seeing you around the AV lakes as much?
