Glad we weren't fishing today - it's chilly
I say little to no snow - just blustery and cold

I would rather have the snow....and then a big melt down. This wind and cold mornings are not very encouraging, for me anyway. I cannot wait for 95!

I knew we wouldn't get off so easy.

Yesterday the weatherunderground forecast said 3-5" of snow on the 20th. Today it's calling for all rain.

WTOP reported 8 days in January over 60dF, 6 days in Feb and no days over 60dF so far in March
Wacky weather - should make prespawn interesting

I hope we get something. I put my pre-emergent down last sunday and need precipitation to water it in!

Still no prospect for 60+ degree weather in the next 10 days......

54 on Sunday with light wind is my trigger.

I just saw they changed it back! Really??

It's gonna bounce back and forth, weather geeks are having a blast! Forecasts (there must be 30-40 different models) mean nothing....until a day or 2 out.

I just put down some grass seeds.....damnit.

Snow is great for that, especially this time of year when it's a wet snow.

Wunderground now calling for 5-8" on Tuesday PM and 3-5" on Wed. AM!
We may have a contest after all....will dig around downstairs for a prize.
Here, found something (for real)!

The prize is so tempting. A live squirrel that wears a horses head.. do you need to feed it in the box? I assume it comes with the squirrel correct?
Great prize. I predict a non event and just some rain for beautiful downtown Accokeek.
BTW it was snowing like crazy in DC. Drove in to a white out. Do not know now as I work in a no window environment. And life sucking floro lights.

Sun is out now but snow squall was impressive.
You have to find your own squirrel...winner gets box + horse head. And I do have it in my possession.

Pretty sure y'all have jinxed this thing for good now..........................

Maybe the jinx worked but we still don't have a 60+df day foretasted for the near future. It's been a long winter....in more ways than cold.
They are still calling for some accumulation....not sure if it's worth a contest thread though. But we can always do 1/4" increments to see who gets closest!

One of the weather geeks as he wishes and hopes: "Not good overnight trends for a big storm. Now we are in moderate storm world which doesn't work for me in late march. Today is do or die...do we get back to big storm mode...or does the storm trend weaker and even more south. The euro had 2-3 blizzard runs Thursday and Friday evoking talk of 1958 with a cut off system slowly moving up the coast. Now things seem more progressive which limits potential. I think we will know today. I still think Tuesday will be a school off today but I'm not liking the model trends. You can see in this map a bunch of pieces together but they are not consolidating into one big storm. Hopefully we can rebound today but this feels like groundhog day".
