Occoquan River 1/27

Hit the Occoquan with a buddy on Saturday, looking for some bass. Tons of boats on the water, it was probably the most crowded boating conditions I've ever experienced. Looked like most of them were fishing for crappies and perch.

We fished until 4pm and caught 6 or 7 bass, 1 carp, and snagged a bunch of big gizzard shad. No size to any of the bass, biggest was probably 1.5lbs. Caught everything on silver buddies.

Not a banner day but I'll take what I can get in January.

I didn't see any. When the wardens came by to check licenses they said they had only heard of a few small YP caught.

I heard everyone and there mother was there this weekend!

And everything I am hearing is lots of crappie, some bass and a carp here and there.
