5-20-07 Upper Potomac

My daughter and I took the jet boat out Sunday morning. We fished from Algonkian to Goose Creek. The bass were hitting buzz baits and spinner baits early, we then switch to tubes and did well in the deeper holes in current. We had pretty consistent action all morning, mostly smallies, but a few large mouths in slower water. Nothing huge the biggest was 16 inches.
It was a Great morning of Daddy- Daughter bonding.

Jeff,

That's great! I used to fish that part of the river in a 16' Sea Nymph. Great boat but the fishing went downhill and I went to the Center Console.

A 16" smallie is a nice battle!

There are fish out there. I went out Tuesday for a couple of hours after work. Caught four, this one was around 12" some larger fish followed but did not strike.

Smallies rule! Curly and I went out once last year and I caught the only one! I am glad that the numbers seem to be up.
