Dr. Mo and I launched at about 7:00 AM to go after white perch and hopefully pick up a couple of rockfish in the mix. The tide was coming in and was exceptionally high. The piers that we usually fish under were level with the water. We went to the same areas that had been so good to us one week earlier but came up skunked. It was strange since exactly one week earlier we caught a perch on almost every cast!
We finally caught one, yes I really mean one, perch. The wind was from the south and the tide was rising. I prefer a falling tide but you fish what you have. We did catch four rockfish; only two of them were nineteen inches.
Mine.....
Mo's.....
We had to leave at one o'clock because Mo had patients to see ( personally if I were him I would have called them and told them to take an asprin and call me tomorrow). When we loaded back on the trailer the water was over the pier!

I think the white perch are starting to school up in deeper holes but what do I know. Glad you caught a couple of keepers!
