Washington DC 8/12

My buddy's Triton is in the shop so we launched my little boat in Pentagon Lagoon to hit some spots in the DC area. Through the course of the day we fished from the Kennedy Center to to airport, including Washington Channel.

My friend put 4 bass in the boat early on a chatterbait, they were "keepers" but nothing special as far as size. I added an 8lb snakehead and a smallmouth that was maybe 12". We stayed until 2:30 but I don't think we caught a fish after 8am. Found a lot of really nice looking grass but we just couldn't find the quality bass this time. The tide was up all day so maybe that had something to do with it. It was a fun day on the water anyway, I'm looking forward to getting back out there.

DC fishing is surprisingly good and there is lots of water to cover.

Nice job on the snakie.....

The Washington Channel has always been a favorite.

Time to go fishin' again!

The grass in Washington Channel looked fantastic but we couldn't get a bite there. There was another boat that was working it pretty hard so maybe they had better luck.

Nice job! That's a really cool picture of the snakie! What camera did you use? Did you do any post processing? Those colors are popping.

My friend used his Google Pixel phone camera. Didn't have to touch it up at all, every picture from that camera looks amazing.

Makes sense. I figured it was either an iPhone or Pixel. The Pixel was rated with the best camera, and Google's Camera's HDR feature is decent, along with their Lens Blur feature to get that creamy bokeh.
