Potomac Smallies at Whites Ford Park

Launched the yak at Whites Ford Park this afternoon and didn't have much luck until I found a recently fallen tree near the bank on the VA side about 200 yards upstream from the launch site.  Used a weedless wacky rigged senko along the downstream side of the tree and lost count after 20.  Literally every cast was a pickup although most were in the 12-14 inch range.  This a pic of one of the larger ones probably about 2.5 lbs.  Should be producing for a few more weeks until all the leaves die for anyone that's interested!

Re: Potomac Smallies at Whites Ford Park

Tried to fish there last year, but current was incredibly fast. How was it yesterday?
